Flow came from the minds of Tim Mackey and Nathan Pauli, who had previously established successful skim- and skate brands DB Longboards, DB Skimboards and Cloud Ride Wheels. The original mission behind Flow was to provide great boards at an affordable price, to enable anybody to get into surf skating.

They continue their mission as the brand is expanding rapidly and creating new versions of the existing truck and expanding the line to wheels, component packs, merch and pro board
